AliveChat 4.9 - February 2008 |
|
This version includes major updates and new features. This is the final version before we release version 5 of AliveChat which will be a major upgrade from the current system. Upgrades will occur throughout the month of February, and all accounts will be updated by March 2008.
New Chat Window Structure - Now visitor chat windows do not rely on CSS to have them customized. You can now also add background images to the chat windows and do all the functionality without CSS! The results are cleaner, and easier to manage. This also allows for dynamic resizing of the chat windows by the client.
Auto-Send Chat to E-mail - Chats can now be automatically sent the e-mail specified under Departments. You MUST have your own outgoing e-mail servers to have this work properly.
Auto-Proactive Pop Ups http://www.alivekb.com/support/question.php?ID=44 - You can automatically send Proactive Pop Ups to visitors browsing your web site based on specific rules. These are: Time on page, which page they've reached, # of pages loaded before. You can select specific Pop Ups and send them to a specific department.
Tagging of Web Pages http://www.alivekb.com/support/question.php?ID=42- In the Live Site Monitor, operators can rename long URLs to short titles, also called 'Page Tags'. This allows easy identification of web pages. Tagging a web page not only lets you identify web pages in your Live Site Monitor instantly, but it will allow you to create Automatic Proactive Invitations.
Improved Hot Key System - Managing hot keys are now easier than ever. Using 1-click editing, you can now edit hot keys on-the-fly before sending them out to customers.
Quick Hot Keys - Quick Hot key allows you to create a shortcut to the Hotkeys you use the most. Designate one hot key category which you can access during chats to be your most common hot keys.
Administrator Functions within Operator Console - As an Operator, you can now manage hot keys, chat histories, and page tags as if you were logged in as an Administrator. It just requires a validation for each permission (hot key, page tag, or chat transcripts).
IP Filter for Visitor Tracking and Chats - You can now prevent certain IPs from appearing in the Live Site Monitor, and thus Visitor Recorder reports.
Survey Reporting and Creation are in seperate areas - Now survey creation and reporting are in seperate areas - Analytic Tools and Reporting Tools. This will allow you to set permissions for Operators so that you can limit access to reporting and or survey creation.
Show Certain Buttons in Ringer - Reject, Pass, and Question list is optional.
