What is 'Push Technology'?
An Internet technology that sends prearranged information to users before they actually request it. The user sets up a profile specifying the type of information that they require. An example of push technology used in AliveChat is the URL hotkey feature. Using the hotkey feature, visitors can receive web pages that the operator sends to them. AliveChat's Proactive Chat feature is another example of push technology as visitors receive chat requests that are initiated by the operator.
