What is an ASP (Application Service Provider)?
An "ASP" or Application Service Provider (other related terms include "SaaS" or Software-as-a-Service, On-Demand) is an online network that is accessible through the Internet instead of through the installation of software. It is quickly integrated with other websites and the services are easily implemented and scalable. An example of an ASP is AliveChat. Our licenses are based on a monthly, quarterly, or annual subscription model.

What is "Push Technology"?
An Internet technology that sends prearranged information to users before they actually request it. The user sets up a profile specifying the type of information that they require. An example of push technology used in AliveChat is the URL Hotkey feature. Using the Hotkey feature, visitors can receive web pages that the operator sends to them. AliveChat's Proactive Pop-Up Chat feature is another example of push technology as visitors receive chat requests that are initiated by the Operator.

How do I get started with AliveChat for my website?
Getting started with AliveChat is very simple. Once you register for an AliveChat account, you will be supplied with HTML/Javascript code to insert on your website. Once your web pages have the code included, just log in as an Operator and start taking chats. No software to download or servers to configure! The entire process is easy to implement. And since AliveChat is a 100% hosted solution, it requires no servers to configure, maintain or update.
